Pole Barn Office – step one

While the weather was warmer, I tackled putting a floor in the designated office area. Tonight the temps dip and stay that way for over a week. But hey, it is January. I'm happy I did get this started…

Yesterday I headed back to Lowe’s for the rest of the materials for the floor. You can see it all in the back of the truck. I have high hopes of finishing that today.

My latest project for the barn…

As I gets closer to actually working on a project car, I decided I wanted a big whiteboard where I can track various things without chasing pieces of paper everywhere or squinting at my iPad. So off to Amazon we went and found the large magnetic whiteboard I liked. It’s 3 feet wide and 2 feet high.

The next thing was to decide how to display it. Since the inside walls aren’t finished (still need foam insulation), I decided to build an easel. Yes, I'm is that talented. Here are some photos.

As you can see, I've already started to use it. The next project will be to enclose and finish the office area.

One other thing that has been added is a way for Donna to get hold of me when I'm in the barn. Often I am is wearing ear protection and don’t realize she sent me a message on my phone (or tried to walkie-talkie me on my watch). We ordered a red flashing hazard light as well as a strobe light bulb. Both are plugged into a smart plug and shr can turn them on from wherever she is. That tells me to check hmys phone messages. We’ve used it a couple of times and I sometimes notice it right away, other times, not so quickly.
